Electronic Security System Technician
Security Force, a locally owned and operated security integration company, is growing and looking to add electronic security system technicians to our workforce.
We provide Residential alarm and automation services and Commercial access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intercom, and intrusion alarm systems.

Job Description:

Our technicians are the front line. As a technician of Security Force, you will be expected to maintain a professional appearance accompanied by professional conduct while representing the company. You will be expected to provide clean, tidy, and professional installs in a variety of work environments including new construction sites, office buildings, stores, schools, and hospitals among other locations. Overnight travel is rare (less than 5%), but may sometimes be necessary. All technicians with a take home vehicle participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Work is generally completed in an 8 hour day that will occur between 7:00AM and 5:00PM (Monday through Friday) based on assignment, customer availability, and location.
Your job responsibilities will include the installation, service, and maintenance of new and existing security systems that often integrate with other equipment including fire alarms, automatic door openers, gates, timekeeping systems, and customer networks and computers. You will use time management, clear communication, and strong interpersonal skills to navigate your day to day activities and complete work in a timely manner without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction. You will often be required to sit, stand, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time.

Job Requirements: Helpers, Apprentices, or Entry Level Technicians
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Clean Driving Record
Valid Drivers' License
Some Technical or Mechanical Experience
Ability to Climb Ladders
Must be able to Sit, Stand, Climb, and Lift Objects Weighing up to 70 Pounds or more.
Ability to Discern Colors for Wiring and Cable Sorting.
Job Requirements: Lead Technicians
Above Listed Requirements plus:
Ability to Read and Understand Blueprints.
Minimum Two Years Experience Servicing and Installing Commercial Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intercom, and Alarm Systems.
Microsoft Windows and Office Programs Skills.
Understand Networking Fundamentals including LAN/WAN configuration, VPN/Cloud Security, and General Network Security Best Practices.
Post High School Degree, Vocational Training, and Industry Certifications Preferred.
Understanding of Job Safety Practices. OSHA Certifications Preferred.
Understanding of Local Code and NFPA Standards.
Ability to act as a Knowledge Source and Facilitate Professional Growth for other technicians.
Experience safely operating boom and platform lifts following OSHA safety standards.
